Project Sunrise had a significant presence at the African Music Cultural Festival (AMCF) held at Federation Square over three days in November 2025.
The African Music Cultural Festival brought together thousands of community members at Federation Square, Melbourne. Project Sunrise participated as a key community health partner — raising awareness about AOD services, connecting with young people, and demonstrating the power of culturally safe outreach.
Our team stood alongside Victoria Police — reinforcing community trust, breaking down barriers, and showing that support services are accessible and welcoming to everyone in the African Australian community.
Community leaders, speakers, and Project Sunrise supporters gathered throughout the three-day festival, generating meaningful conversations about the importance of culturally safe AOD support that extended far beyond the festival grounds.
